I've read that if it has a number on the cross it is newer than 1964 as older ones didn't have this serial number. It's a beautiful knife with normal patination, it has been kept in good condition but has been used.

The two-digit dating system has been in use since 2007.
The seller said it was probably around 1958-59 according to a collector book (which contradicts the above statement).
