Over the next three hours, four witnesses identified Le Blanc from a photo lineup, and the police issued a warrant for his arrest.
Within a few days, Le Blanc’s parole officer from a previous drug possession conviction, told detectives they could find him at his family home in New Orleans or staying with his brother and sister-in-law in Long Beach, California, where he had said he planned to attend a trade school.
It was one that threatened an important piece of evidence, compromised a key witness, and caused the DA to doubt the veracity of Centurion itself. Although the blow was a setback for his case, Alan Maimon, Centurion’s full time investigator who has been the lead on the case, still believes the evidence is compelling and plans to fight to win Le Blanc’s innocence beginning with a court filing in June.
Maimon, along with Centurion founder Jim Mc Closkey and Jane Mc Bunch, the volunteer who first researched Le Blanc’s case, sat down with the Echo to talk about Le Blanc’s case, starting from the beginning.
Well..my opinion, the answer is YES, the golden days when the only thing you had to worry about was getting into the company, if not over are seeing the dusk. I agree that Apple has set foot at the wrong time when the software market in India is at its peak and acquiring a full time, good engineer at this point can burn deep in the wallet(its height of foolishness), but I will be surprised if Apple did not realise that before it set up its office, If Apple was not sure if revenue stream generated from its India operation could sustain these cost..should have probably gone for other models like partnership instead of hiring full time employees or else HR could have done lot of things better, they could have signed a "differential labor contract" with employees, where its made clear to the employee that there is risk of layoff in case there revenues don't pickup or they could have gone for no layoff policy with possible pay cut if things don't improve.
So by making layoff part of the company culture they could have made things lot less painful.
